July 2009 Janice Kim Workshop
Bay Area Go Players Association is proud to present our first workshop with Janice Kim, 3 Dan Professional! This 2-day workshop will be held Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12 2009 in San Francisco, California. The workshop is open to Go players 15 kyu and stronger. The workshop will include lectures, game analysis, interactive exercises, and question and answer sessions. Each participant will get a Go book and kifu pad, and one lucky participant chosen at random will take home a set of beautiful shell and slate stones donated by Janice Kim. Saturday night there will be an optional no-host dinner with Janice at a nearby restaurant. Janice Kim is co-author of the award-winning book series Learn to Play Go and was a popular instructor at last year's U.S. Go Congress. Janice is one of only a few western women to be recognized as a professional by the Korea Baduk Association. Register now for this outstanding opportunity to learn from Janice Kim, 3 Dan Professional. Tune up your game before the U.S. Open in August. Or, if you won't be going to Washingto D.C. for the Go Congress, consider this a mini-Congress instead!
